I’m lucky, my family hasn’t had any experience with this, but I hear about it on the news all the time. It seems so much more frequent than anyone expects, is heartbreaking and frightening.

I have been a hospice volunteer for several years so have seen many nursing homes. What I’ve seen is that there aren’t enough staff to assist the patients. I know it’s got to be difficult but if they are taking on the responsibility to have the patients, then they also need to take care of them.
Thanks for bringing this to peoples’ attention.

Thanks for sharing this info! My mother has been in a great home for 2.5 years now. She lives in a really great home, she is happy and everyone seems to take time to say hi and connect with her. Abuse is something I feel anyone who has a parent of loved one will be concerned about. I always take time to ask my mother questions to be as sure as I can that everyone is treating her in the best way. Thanks for sharing this important info! Best Regards, Wendy
